What is Hypnotherapy and how does it work?

Hypnosis has always had a lack of information surrounding it. Modern day propaganda has given hypnosis a false lack of knowing which is detrimental to how this unique therapy can be used

What happens in a hypnotherapy session is specific to each individual. I am devoted to being respectful, caring and honest with my clients. A part of being a hypnotherapist means that we are going tom solve the problem and not concentrate to heavily on the small details. Our main concentration is to help you be free of subconscious habits, behaviors and emotions which are holding you back from moving forward in your life. At times our technique will be direct as this will be needed to make the necessary changes.

The Pretalk before Hypnosis

We make sure that the client fills out the consent form at the beginning of the appointment.

Once the consent form is filled out the I will ask a series of questions that will concern the client so we can make change in this area. Some questions will involve problems as well as any life events that have caused trauma. For our hypnotherapy to have its full effect I will at times ask questions that may be uncomfortable and be encountering but they are necessary to formulate the hypnotherapy session which is tailored to each client. A thorough explanation will be given to the client to give them a complete overview on how the Hypnosis will work.

The beginning of Hypnosis

The induction is an integral part of the session as the client will be in a comfortable reclining chair when this begins. The conditions are set for hypnosis as this process gets the client ready to relax and get in to the correct state. Hypnosis begins with a flowing state of techniques that are safe and effective.

During the time of induction you will find that you are becoming more relaxed and you will still  have all your senses and be aware of everything that is happening around you. Most people find that being hypnotised is an extremely relaxing and pleasurable experience. Depending on the type of scenario for the client will determine the type of induction being used as some can be short and others can be long like 15-20 minutes. Once the induction is integrated, deeper techniques are used so that the client can enter a level of relaxed trance if suited for that individual’s needs.

The Therapy stage

This is the crucial time where therapy takes place and makes change. You may need assistance in a variety of areas such as phobias, weight loss, public speaking or change of habits. The therapist’s role is to change what you have decided in our initial discussion about what change is wanted by the client. One issue at a time is recommended to make change in the area needed. Other topics of concern that are uncovered will usually need other sessions for that to be alieved.

Come out of hypnotherapy after your Session

At the end of the session you will come out of Hypnosis this will be a calm and gentle process that will enable you to come to your normal heightened state so that you can leave with no side effects at han.
